FINALLY! It is December 20th and I finally have everything sorted out.
I finished my last final this evening and my last final paper five minutes ago.
I have absolutely everything bought that I need for this trip.
My passport has been stamped by the Indian consulate.
I have my hostel and my train ticket booked for Paris.
In short, all I have left to do is pack my bag.
My trip is going to go like this:
Arrive in England on December 25th, leave for Paris on December 28th, return from Paris on January 2nd, arrive in Delhi on January 6th.
For the first two weeks in India, I will be volunteering in New Delhi at Saalam Baalak Trust, an organization that provides shelter, education, health care and job opportunities to the street children of New Delhi. Between 4,500 and 5,000 children are beneficiaries of this organization. They have many volunteers from around the world who come to aid them in a variety of ways.
On January 19th, I will leave Delhi and go on a tour that goes for eight days, meaning I return home on January 27th, the day before the spring semester begins. This tour begins in Delhi, goes to Agra, then to Bharatpur, then Jaipur and then back to Delhi, where I will be brought to the airport for the almost full day of travel home.
I will be keeping this blog the entire time and will have my phone with me, though I should have fairly regular access to Facebook. (:
